History

Creation / November 2017

Cartoon is a project initially produced and managed by The Center for Research in Clownesque Art (C.R.A.C) directed by the director, Yves Dagenais, who received support from the Canada Council for the Arts for this project.

 

Premiere / April 2018

Cartoon premieres in Montreal.

 

Distribution / 2018 to 2020

Cartoon is presented around fifteen times in Quebec.

 

Handover / February 2020

In order to lighten the structure of the organization, the C.R.A.C. and to reduce these activities, Yves Dagenais handed over the exploitation rights to the artists of these different productions.

 

Production / February 3, 2020 

Cartoon is now produced, represented and managed by François Isabelle, performer and co-author of the show.

 

Since / February 3, 2020

Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, 7 performances of Cartoon were held in person, virtually and hybrid.

 

So far / September 2023

50 performances of Cartoon were given in Quebec and French-speaking Ontario.

 

Season 2024-2025

2 performancesare scheduled for the 2024-2025 season in Quebec.
